Hi, ive just noticed that ive not got any reversing lights.
Ive checked the bulbs they are ok, ive cleaned the contacts they are ok, checked the fuse that is also ok, ive now taken a multimeter to them & found out that they are not getting power.
have i missed something?

No mechanic by any stretch but if they're not getting any power, I'd say it's something to do with when you select reverse. Don't know the workings - is there a contact for when you engage reverse?

There's usually a switch mounted on the casing of manual gearboxes. Joining the terminals together will bring on the reversing lights in the case of a faulty switch.

just to confirm what you all thought, it was the switch which was at fault. have also found out the exact location of it, its located under the air filter, ontop of the gearbox. two torx bolts are holding it in place.
