Audi A4 1.9TDI -To buy or not to - The Ring
Hi Folks,

Question is, ive seen an Audi (52plate) 1.9TDi Sport at a dealers website going for £13,995, 50k on the clock (id presume thats mostly motorway mileage). Within the space of a few days via email (strange i know) his knocked it down by £500 as im offering no part-ex and thats without me seeing it. What price should i realstically look at paying, keeping in mind ive seen all the book prices etc, just wanted some expert opinions out in the car trade who might think otherwise or might think of better ways of acquiring this type of car at a cheaper price? All opinions welcome to give me some idea?

Thanks

Depends on how keen you are to get that particular brand and type of car. Personally, looked at objectively, I don't think its very good value. Earlier this week went to a major car supermarket to do a 'look over' for someone - a silver Mondeo 2.0TDCi 130BHP hatch with (IIRC) 6-speed box. Registered in March this year, 7k miles and £11,500 with 2.5 years warranty to run. I know which I'd buy...

Still, if you really want an Audi the price is probably in the right ballpark. I wouldn't even consider it until you've looked it over though...

Ford Diesels are a lot better than they used to be - it's a tough choice, mind!
