I recently hit my Mondeo Diesel TDDi 2001 Model into a drain and broke my driveshaft. While waiting for a new driveshaft replacement, the mechanic has just replaced the broken bearings to the old driveshaft that was hit. Now, I am driving temporarily with the old driveshaft and at 110-140 kpmh, my steering wheel shakes a little. I have brought my mondeo for wheel alignment and balancing but to no avail. Is it due to the driveshaft that I suspect?

Sorry dont you mean CV joints. driveshaft is connection between inner and outer CV joints. Cv joints hold the bearings. if either have gone it is not a good idea to drive it. wheel alignment and balancing are not going to help. CV joint needs specialist repairer to recondition. putting back the old/new bearings to replace. only throws balancing out of CV joint. broken drive shaft cannot be repaired ie it has to be replaced.

Yes, you are right. Indeed it is the CV joint that is shaking when driving between 110-140kph. Also, the cross-link structure has been hit and it seems like my cornering isn't as stable as before, the front wheels have a slight offset distance from the base comparng one another.

If you have hit something hard enough to break a cv joint then almost certainly the suspension will be damaged. Stop using the car until properly inspected and repaired in case one of the suspension components is actually broken or you have a part sheared bolt for example.
