A friend left the lights on and flattened the battery this morning. Now I can\'t get the key fob to de-activate the immobiliser/alarm.I don\'t believe in coincidence but i haven\'t had a chance to eliminate the possibility of a dead battery in the key fob, your thoughs appreciated

If he has the handbook there is a code ie keyturns to disable immobiliser.then using the key will activate/deactivate alarm.once you have found out if fob has flat battery and replaced will resync with alarm.after several presses it will then reset to where it was before.
