Thanks Andy, I'll have two at that price please.
email me when you have them and I'll have cash waiting. Delivery details to be advised.

Make that three, I'll have one as well.

You realise this is the petrol version Mark? No good for ploughing up your ant nests.
|
Of course its the petrol one, I don't drive agricultural vehicles - fact.

You realise this is the petrol version Mark?
A petrol tractor? Whatever next!

Andy, since we\'re talking anyway, you will no doubt remember that you previously kept posting that Optimax was destroying engines.
You no doubt also remember ignoring the repeated requests from David, Martyn and myself for you to give us some clue as to your basis for saying this before your lack of replies caused us to delete the statements.
Given that its been two years and I still can\'t find anything about it from anywhere, I wondered if you might now be prepared to let us know where this \"fact\", that you stated so strongly and repeatedly, actually came from ?
Mark.
|
Hello Mark, Nice to be remembered. The optimax fiasco in mainlanland europe led to its withdrawel and it has now been replaced with Shell extra(or some such name that apparently works).Haven't you been on any travels recently.I was in Sau Paulo not long back.
Regards Andy

Get a copy of glasses guide and look for youself,
Contact Leasing companies they have hundreds of three year old cars arriving everyday.A 01 plate 2.0 lusso full leather ex lease car 86000mls brought 3250 at auction on wednesday in leeds

So that's a leggy sportwagon in an unpopular spec.
I repeat that Glasses don't sell cars and you can't get a good condition 1.8TS Sportwagon with average miles in near retail condition with FMDSH for £3500.

Tell you what Andy, as Mark wants one as well I'll change my order to one if it helps you source them, but can you get one in Alfa Red with silver roof rails please. Veloce spec preferred. Not too bothered as to whether it has the Leather Momo interior or the Blitz cloth.
Failing Alfa Red, I'll take either of the metallic blues on offer in 2001.
Cheers,
No Dosh*
(* It's an ironic screen name. I really do have the cash sat here waiting.)

Oh, another thought. If you want the very best wheels that can possibly be put on it, go to an Alfa dealer and ask for the GTA teledials. They're fabulous.

Andy, any luck on sourcing a 1.8TS Sportwagon for £3,500? Forget being fussy about the colour, I\'ll take what you have. Cash waiting. Post the details here; I can get anywhere in the UK with the money within 48 hours to collect.
Oh, sorry, just realised. Glasses guide don\'t sell cars. If they did they\'d go bust overnight.
Perhaps you\'d be so kind as to not post total cack like that?
Now if you can source a clean, average miles 1.8TS 2001 Sportwagon for £3,500 I will buy it. Naturally being a 2001 Glasses dictates that to fetch book money it should have full history and be presented in a condition that will require minimum dressing to retail the car, so no shabby 120,000 mile examples please.

ND, I'll sort one out for you by gin-and-tonic time tonight for that price. In fact I'll give you a 25% discount for cash. Just re-read that post again. Carefully & sloooowly.
'7000 grand is not aa good price 2001 1.8 sportwagons are only booked at 3500'
I know these sportswagons are good, but 3,500,000 is a good price!

'7000 grand is not aa good price 2001 1.8 sportwagons are only booked at 3500'
No, I'm still reading that the car stands in at 3,500, not 3,500 grand.
|
so who paid 7,000 grand for one of these? Just been looking on autotrader (threads like this must be good for HJ's revenue) gosh they're ugly.

Ugly????? Even David Blunkett could see that these cars are achingly beautiful!

Oh, and I note that the milage is absent from that ad. Suggests the car like\'s its lager to come from the Leuven Brewery.
It\'s Interstellar.

ND,
everybody knows that Alfas are all ugly, unreliable, willl rust anywhere you breath on them, the electrics will never work properly ( mainly because they come from germany but also because the Italian peasant farmer who loosely bolts it together will have left out the wiring loom), all buttons, knobs ect will fall off before it\'s gone a mile.
Now stop flying in face of popular opinion just because you own one and might know better ;-)

Not sure that a David Blunkett/Stevie Wonder approval is a positive thing ;-)
Just as well they have folk to open doors for them, they'd never find the rear-door handle!!!

Yes it's high mileage. Yes it's horrid white. No, it's still not £3500. The gauntlet remains unclaimed...
|
alpha security.
How much does that annoy me? I mean, he'd already spelt Alfa correctly once in the advert. It's a car, not a Greek letter.
Oh, and anyone who honestly believes the 156 sportwagon is ugly should give up an dget themselves sectioned now.

Yes, nice and thinly, so we can study them under the microscope.

He's probably selling it to buy a Porche. Sorry, a Porshe. Oh, err, a Porsh. Oops, I mean a 911.

I bet they bought it in at under 3g

As a student, I saw an advert in the window of a temp agency asking for a secretary at "£8,000k".
Did a quick bit of mental arithmetic and worked out that in the time it took them to find out I couldn't type and had never seen a word processor, I could earn about 5 years worth of student grant (we had them then, sort of).
