My daughter has a R reg 318 BMW. The radio reception is not very good, it may be the aerial connections.
But where is the aerial in these cars as it has no visible mounted aerial anywhere.
Any clues ??

The aerial is in the screen. (can't remember but I think it the rear one).
Check the connections at the base..I think

I think you are right, but where is the connection to the screen and how do you get to it.

As it may be screen mounted/built into screen.may or should have Aerial power amp.not uncommon for Amp to pack up.just a thought,

Thanks for all your help, but I found the problem.
As the radio in the car is not a BMW, but a retro, the aerial connection is different and a short converter lead is used.
The problem was the BMW connector to the lead, where there was a loose wire, which has been repaired.

It is most probably the amplifier. The aerial is the heater elements on the rear screen with a booster amplifier.
Check the back of your head unit there is a white wire which is the booster wire, make sure it is still connected.
Pop off the rear quarter panel trims. there are connectors down each side of the rear screen, just make sure all of these are fully home.
