I always use AutoGlym leather care cream in my mondeo, much easier to use lately as comes with trigger spray. Very happy with it's preformance.

I was cleaning the fabric lining of my car last week with Simoniz stuff - the spray on sort that comes with a nylon plastic brush in the nozzle.
I got a bit on my cream leather seats (8yrs old) and boy did it work, getting the grime out of the little microscopic creases.
So I did the whole lot in 10 minutes and then gave them a feed with Connollys cream I bought from local saddlery. Much better results than the Zymol stuff I had been using.

No, he had to use the Zymol leather cleaner for that. 8-)

Yes it did - light beige is now light beige again

Zymol? That stuff costs more than some cars. At least the better wax does. Is it any good???

Out of interest how vicious is that nylon brush thingy on the cap when used on cloth trim? My cloth trim has loop type pile and I would be worried it would rough up the pile.

To Madmaxy - I've got some Zymol wax which because it contains coconut makes my car smell lovely when I use it and this perfume together with its price makes me wonder if I wouldn't be better using my wife's moisturiser - I can't seen any marked difference between this stuff and Turtle Wax.
To Victorbox - I used it on the carpet in the boot and gave it some elbow grease and it worked well, but you can't expect miracles on beige carpet in an 8yr old estate. I used it less vigorously on on the cloth in the door panels and it was very effective. I'd recommend it - I have no connection etc. etc.

Try a gentle wash with a damp cloth and proper soap such as "Simple". Then using a piece of mutton cloth rub in good old Nivea cream
Works a treat
Roger.

Shame that nothing really seems to restore the 'leather' aroma (or impart it where it didn't previously exist even).
Short of stuffing a couple of chamois leathers behind the dash that is.
