whilst searching the net i came across this page
www.johns306.com/guides/mod_guides.htm which is about tweaking a xud engine to perform better ,has anybody here ever tryed it and also does anybody think this is a good idea?p.s. anybody know where the gearbox mount is as i bought one coz my 5th gear is popping out and cant find the thing to change?

It\'s relatively simply on a mechanical turbo-diesel, pump and turbo boost settings are increased. I\'m assuming you have the 1905 turbo engine.

You don\'t say where you are - check out this link - cost seems very reasonable.

I have 306DT, the tuning of the pump will be similar whether you have a turbo of not,

FYI,

I have made all the mods and it made a hell of a diffence. My MPG did not really suffer either, unless I decided to really wind her up.

Smoke, it took me about 30mins of shuttle runs to find the best mixture, she smoke a bit (not heavy) @ about 4750rpm+.

also, if you 'potter' then boot it, there is a lovely cloud.

Hope you mods go well, and keep me informed on the suspension rattle.
