Can anyone please tell me if any other Peugeot engine will match up to the Boxer 2.5D gearbox as trying to get hold of a reasonably priced S/H 2.5 is very difficult.
Is it possible to convert to a 1.9D with a conversion plate maybe?

I could be wrong but i would think the direct injection 1.9 engine might fit straight in but could be a bit underpowered in the lwb high top van.
Could be wrong again but a fiat ducato engine and box etc. could be another option.
