Morning All,
Following on from a previous thread in relation to running diesel engines on vegetable oil, I would like to give Biodiesel a whirl.
I've used Google to try to find retailers in my area, but to no avail.
Does anyone know of any retailers around Southport/Liverpool/Chester?

I think either one of them might be slightly out of date in terms of stating whether blends higher than 5% are available from some suppliers, but they are reasonably comprehensive nonetheless. You may only find that your nearest/only supplier only has blends as low as 5%, but that's still better than nothing.
For biodiesel, make sure you ask the retailer/supplier what standard the fuel is made to - should be prEN14214 for pure 100% biodiesel. This is important - genuine, quality biodiesel will meet that standard. If you pay for biodiesel, accept nothing less. If you pay for a blend, (e.g. 5% biodiesel:95% derv) the biodiesel component should still meet the standard. The only other acceptable possibility is a supplier telling you that their biodiesel meets DIN 51606, the previous default (German) standard which is now superseded by prEN14214.
As far as I know, all Rix outlets make fuel to standard. My own supplier in Belfast also does.
