CAT 1 Alarm - how
Hi everyone

My Honda Jazz is only classed CAT 2 as it has only an immobiliser. Where can I find out which is a good CAT1 Alarm.
I've been to Thatcham site but this is confusing. Honda offer a Cat 1 alarm but want £555 + fitting, this is too expensive. Is there a site where I can compare alarms?

Don't know about a web site but if you have a good Auto Electrical dealer near you he should be able to help. I have used one near to me who was very up to date on car systems and what would and would not work.

Cobra offer a Cat2 to Cat1 upgrade, making use of the original remote and security systems, for about £290-£350 inc fitting at your local auto electrician or alarm specialist.

I fitted a Clifford Concept 300 to my Legacy and it has been fine. The main unit is guaranteed as long as you keep the car. Cost £346 fitted.
