How long after being flashed can I expect to get a fine?
An NIP (Notice of Intended Prosecution) must be issued within 14 days of the offence being commited if it is a Gatso camera offence. Bear in mind that the issue date isn't the same as the arrival date, the issue date will be on the NIP. Usually the letter will have the stamp of the local police authority on the envelope. According to the law, an NIP is only valid if issued within 14 days. If you haven't heard anything after around 2 1/2 weeks you're usually ok.

is the vehicle registered to you at your current address , if not then the original N.I.P. will have been sent their first and then they have fingered you as the driver. This is the only excemptions from the 14 day rule.
