I've only had the car for 2 weeks (previously pre reg). Already in the workshop - noise from the ignition when switched to ON or START. Apparantely garage advise its coming from the EPAS system and they need to refer back to manufacturers as they don't know how to fix it.............!!!!!! Has anyone else had similar problems?

EPAS = Electrically Power Assisted Steering ??
torque transducer in steering column and servo-motor at column base. Most likely a problem with the servo motor. Don't panic.

steer (no pun intended) well clear of nissan's now they are joint with renault!
