Help! My 1995 1.7D Astravan has started leaking powersteering fluid from the overflow hole on top of the reservoir. There are no leaks on the rack or pipes.
The drive belt to the PAS-pump is a bit loose, squeaking on tight locks or low revs. Will tightening/replacing the belt solve the problem, or is there something more serious wrong?

Sorry don't know the answer, but I've just bought an X reg 16 Astra with 12k on the clock which has the same problem. The local Vauxhall dealer claims not to have heard of the problem and says 'book it in for us to look at', I don't fancy any open-wallet surgery.
I'm wondering if the system can get over-pressurized somehow. I'll keep you posted on any progress.
