been driving the wifes mondeo tonight its a 99T 1.8 turbo diesel noticed that the oil light flickers for a few seconds when you go round corners and roundabouts. its never done this before, i checked the oil level and its fine also it had a oil change about 3000 miles ago. the car has done 70000 miles. the engine sounds fine and runs ok with no other problems so i'm worried its about to go bang!
anyone with any ideas what it could be?
thanks..

The oil level is definately OK, yeah?
I'd replace the oil pressure switch and see what happens if the level is OK.

Check that the wire to the sender is not chafing anywhere, a short circuit to earth would put the light on.

Top up the oil to max - see if that helps. In my previous car, an Alfa 147, the oil light came on when going round roundabouts - just needed an oil top up. Could be that simple, worth a try !

a friend fitted sender today also topped up oil to max mark
(about a litre,seems a lot to me??)
got the wife to drive it on 2 wheels around a roundabout a couple of times. seems ok.. fingers crossed!!
