just brought 2.0ltr rxe but it has an idle problem the tickover goes up and down like a yoyo changed the usual (plugs,leads,etc etc) had no effect anyone got any ideas please.

Yes. Very common if there is an air lock near the coolant sensor.
See the top hose where it comes off the engine, should have a bleed screw. Fit up a header tank (horrible job) and bleed.
If there was air at this point then removing it stands a very good chance of curing the fault.

clean throttle body out inc butterfly/idle control valve and try again if not improved then you have an air leak check all breather pipes/conections
if you have air in system then you have poss head gasket probs
or poss car has had overheating prob/cambelt failed and has had bad rework ie valves not ground in right
petrol engines very unrelible/dash faults etc
all i can say is good luck

still got problems with renault espace 2.0ltr inj seemed to of cured hunting but now ticks over at about 2500 revs any ideas would be grateful
