Just looking at replacing my fuel line as it's leaking all over the place, is it OK using copper tubing (8mm)? Had a search on the internet, but nothing really relevant came up.
thanks

You could use your 8mm copper tube O.K. but you must include some flexible joints in the line, to compensate for engine vibrations and rocking, which would otherwise persistantly split the pipe.

Copper is chemically OK with diesel fuel. Bundy tubing is made from copper-coated steel and is commonly used for diesel fuel lines.
As Dude suggests, copper tubing can work-harden and crack if allowed to constantly flex. My Triumph has plain copper brake pipes but these are securely clipped to prevent vibration and, of course, there are flexible hoses where movement needs to take place.

Thanks guy's, the pipe will be fixed to the chassis (in the existing fixing points), with flexible tube to the tank and to the fuel filter. Just need to watch for good weather to get it done now.
cheers

Leaking all over the place?
I take it you aren't driving the car right now?
