If you have access to Blue light car deals online there is 10% off at National tyes and some others.

Nothing on there for Blackcircles however.

I used to get regular email offers from BC. I can’t recall when I last got one but it would be a few months back. They were usually x% off when buying two or four tyres but were restricted usually to Michelin who are part of the same group.

They are usually good prices at BC anyway although I always check for offers from other outlets just in case.

Compared to when I last used them (March 2018) to replace my last set of tyres, market prices have (especially since 2020 for obvious reasons) jumped considerably as costs have risen.

As such, BC have had far fewer offers (2 or 4 tyres of X make/model for X% / £ per tyre off) than they used to. What offers they have had are often 'restricted' to bigger sizes that are already expensive.

I was (2018) lucky to get my 195/65 R16H Michelin CC+ set of 4 with a discount of £25 off the total and when the tyres had a list price of around £57 each (not incl. fitting). The equivalents now cost £20 - £25 more, and I've only seen offers during the intervening period on 16in tyres and bigger, and rarely at that.

If I recall, like shops, BC's offers tend to be seasonal. Keep looking on a regular basis and one may appear. I did find back then that was also cheaper to buy them mail order and get them fitted at my local main dealer rather than have them delivered straight to an 'approved' BC fitter and fitted there. Not by much though, but then I was also having new alloys fitted at the same time, so it made sense.

Their fitting price via an 'approved' fitter is currently around the £15 mark (was about £11.50 per tyre back in 2018 if I recall).

I noticed some cracking on my Michelin Energy tyres (43k still 3mm of tread) so I decided to shop around for all weathers. Goodyear Vector 4seasons Gen3 got good reviews and I checked BC and they wanted nearly £100 more than Halfords. Also H fit on the drive (free for some slots) whereas BC use ATS who always keep me waiting despite my pre booked appointment. Last time it was over two hours late.

I maybe landed lucky with an offer but BC were way off the price this time so it paid to shop around.

You may have been lucky with the Halfords price, but saying that, BC price have gone up a LOT (like most things) over the past few years.

Factor in them having lesser 'discount code' deals and less often / only for larger diameter tyres (I was lucky to get my 15in CC+s on such a discount, but wince then, they only apply to 16in versions and above) as well, and many tyres are now 35-65% more expensive than in 2018-19. Plus they've upped the fitting price from £11.50 back then to £15 or so.

I just bought 2 Goodyear Vector 4Seasons (sadly a nail in the shoulder rendered 1 rear tyre irreparable despite being only 1/2 worn & I changed both rear tyres to allseasons for the future rather than changing summer/winter each year) from RAC Tyres .

Paid £138 each fully fitted by the time that you take a £10 per tyre Amazon voucher into the balance. That was ~£25 per tyre cheaper than the average quote of ~£163-165.

Halfords/McConochey/National Tyre price seemed good but had no stock of my size.

RAC pricing looks good and their list price for my Goodyears was the same as Halfords but H. offer a further 10% off for 4.

Halfords and National are both part of the same group. Blackcircles, ATS and Michelin are part of another group.

Halfords currently coming up with £161 for my tyres, allowing 10% £145. Asda/RAC Tyres (obviously same company back of the websites but different voucher offers - money off Asda/Amazon) I paid £138 after promotions (now gone up though). Just proves that you need to shop around as no one company will have the best deal on every tyre when you need it (Halfords were out of stock & couldn't give me an expected delivery time).

I know that Halfords/National are part of the same group as are McConechys hence why I grouped them. (Tyres On The Drive are also Halford's group)

I've always found Camskill very competitive - but you need to arrange fitting yourself, not a problem for me as I prefer my local trusted indy to do the fitting anyway - they deliver to my indy who let me know when they've arrived.

Yes Camskill prices are often VG. On the Goodyears they were only £3 a tyre less than Halfords and then of course fitting on top. I must have hit a sweet spot deal with my purchase. Which comes back to the OP seeking a discount offer. They are around if you search.

Updating that, the fitter came yesterday at the exact appointment time. He spent just under an hour despite its being his last appointment of the day so he wasn’t rushing it. Tyre pressures all spot on , red spots in right place, 100% satisfied.
