Ex black cab driver over the road wants one. I Don't think the size issue is all that important, rather he doesn't want something with "big car" running costs.

Whatever's in good nick. Small autos go for an absolute fortune so he might have to take whatever he can get.
(I've seen someone £1200 at auction for a 10-year-old Clio RT, for example.)

I thought about a micra, i might be able to find him one at auction.
I think there is a lot of sense in what DavidHM has said.
So which cars in this price bracket are to be avoided?

I'm selling my old L-reg Astra 1.6 auto with 40k on the clock for £1k, if he's interested... ;)

Im selling my L reg Proton MPi saloon 1.5 SE automatic, with 80k and 10 months mot and 10 months tax for a humble £350, Flew its last mot with no notifications whatsover

Its got 4 recent tyres, new rear shocks, a sweet engine, recent cambelt change, new power steering belt and an unworn interior, its missing one of those snazzy wheeltrims.
|
I would go with a Proton - pretty tough engine and autobox.

Surely one reason that old autos fetch high prices is that many of them have been granny's cars and only have tiny mileages? Doesn't mean they have been looked after properly of course.
