The ID.5 was "tested" on 5th Gear tonight and they were not impressed. The shape is bland and the dash is all touch screen. The aircon controls are apparently not illuminated and difficult to use in the dark. In its favour the range is just over 300miles.

From my point of view the view from the rear window looked very narrow and I did not like the boxy look. The price is £55k ! For my money I would rather have the petrol Tiguan and save £20k

But if it was a company car and you were only paying BiK at 40%, the ID5 would be £440 compared to the Tiguan's £5200. Makes more sense then :)

(although as you pointed out there are probably better EV options out there)
