A complicated situation and need some advise - hansc618uk
Background:

I bought a car on 2 Jul and dealer helped to update the logbook
found that the date of last logbook issued is 20 Jul from DVLA's website and i didnt received it until now
Called DVLA this morning and found that the address is wrong, they helped to update my correct address and will issue a new logbook in 4 weeks

The question is, what if i got any PCN from gov or council like speeding, parking or entered pedestrian zone but they mailed to a wrong address, i cant recevice the PCN, what can i do?

Can antone give me a direction and advise. Thank you

The Dealer doesnt update any log book he completes the registration process which it is your responsibility to check at the time. The log book is then subsequently posted to you from the DVLA

Not sure if this is true. My OH has just bought a brand new car from Kia. She checked over all the documentation presented to her. The log book has come back with a mistake in her name.

She's hardly likely to let that happen and would have said so if she'd seen any documents with it on wrong.

Funny you should say that,

When I bought my brand new Sportage last year, the KIA dealer wrongly entered my name, but when I phoned DVLA Ist week march 2020, they sent out a new registration document with my name correctly spelt. (free)

Nothing to get excited about !!!!
