Like many of us who park in car parks, often get a small dent from the car door parked alongside.

Has anyone tried these Dent puller/lifter kits with their various size pads and hot glue, to pull these dents out with success.

Never tried anything like this , but most diy body repairs usually end up looking worse than the original damage .

Elekie Doc. Your advice is so invaluable that can you consider setting up your own website ?

No, I haven't needed to, but try the mobile dent extractor people, many punters say they can do a good job - probably better than your DiY efforts. Not expensive either.

My 1 man band "dent man" charges £50 (cash ) per panel to fix dings etc He does a good job & I have passed his number on to quite a few people in my area.

Essentially he has a collection of dealers that he runs around on a 2 week cycle - a few private jobs are the cherry on his cake. Garage chain Head Office take ages to pay, often collecting cash upfront payment from the local outlet when they need more cars fettled

Ok I had approx 15 dents on 3 doors seen by the guy who carried out the repairs, some said to have been a poor repair previously.

He mostly used the Glue pad and Puller method as on most cars, in the doors there is a brace bar where the old method of using bars cannot be used. Approx 75% of the dents repaired with the glue and remainer with the bars.

But was charged £50 for less than an hours work, well chuffed.......

In such a situation, I tried it once and I would not recommend doing it because I suffered a lot of damage.

Better to remain dent free in the first place. I choose my space carefully. At supermarkets I always park well away from the entrance, and never next to another car. It takes an extra 30 or 40 seconds to get to the entrance. In busier car parks I never park next to cars with 'kids on board's signs, or simply anything that looks like it could be driven by an idiot.

My current car is five years old and dent free.

No help if you already have dents I know, sorry.

Have you never experienced the "parking magnet" - when you park away from other cars and then return to find cars parked all around you despite plenty of space?
