VW Caddy heating/ventilation fan problem - badbusdriver

Noticed yesterday that the heating/ventilation fan on my (2010) Caddy van is only working on the highest setting. Anybody got any idea what the problem might be?

Very likely to be the fan speed resistor failed . It will be behind the dash, passenger side . May have to remove the glovebox for access . Part less than £20 .

Exactly.

Lots of cheap, sub standard electrical stuff around. When I replaced one on my CMax a few years back I noticed just how many genuine looking replacements were available, but at a fraction of the Bosch price from reputable suppliers. Didn't seem worth the risk.
