Since my wife bought this car last October she did 6.5 K miles and I don't think she checked the oil level since then. I assume she didn't checked it as it wasn't any lights indicating low level of oil.
The trouble with oil lights, whether for pressure or level, is that by the time they illuminate you're already close to disaster.
A regular check of the dipstick will disclose if the level is dropping. Top up and, if it's going down fast, investigate the cause.
Neither of our cars lose significantly between services.
My son's Pug 107 does and given it's oil capacity is only 3 litres there's not much spare. He only checks it when I remind him or he's home an I do it for him.
Sooner or later he'll wreck it.
