Anyone seen news of the the unveiling of the new Nissan this morning? I think it looks great, and a real step forward for beleaguered Nissan. Front end reminiscent (to me) of the new Peugeot 2008, and that's a good thing.

Sorry, but i think it looks awful!.

As for the front end, no idea where you are seeing the Peugeot 2008 in that?. The only thing which is springing to my mind about the front end is the Merc EQC because of the outline shape around the grill and headlights.

It's a subjective world - it'd be a boring place if we all liked the same things. The tall, vertical openings either side of the grille are what brings to mind the new (2020 onwards) 2008.

Looks good to me - and the front does look a bit like the 2008, a similar sized car. Odd that the quirky illuminated badge hasn't been seen here since the Wolseleys of 50yrs ago! I hope it does well, but sad that we shall (hopefully) be merely assembling them rather than having manufactured the clever bits - a bit like Bentley in Crewe. Still, better than nothing. Astonishing amount of power for such a small car. Perhaps Avant might be a first adopter and give us a report in 2022?

It's actually longer than a 3008, and heading for 5008 in terms of length. Quite a sizeable piece of kit.

It looks like it was styled for the American market - not really to my taste.

Another jelly-mould bubble car. No ICE? No thanks!

It's ok...nothing particularly radical...take the badges off and it could be from any one of half a dozen makers with pretty much the same basic designs.

Coupé Crossover.

Yeah, right...

Looked at the photos.

Would I like to look at that every morning?

No thanks...

Coupé Crossover.

Yeah, right...

A growing segment groaver. Think Q3 Sportback, BMW X4, Merc GLC coupé.

Agree that the front end looks very like the 2008, the side view looks like the forthcoming new Citroen C4.

Overall looks good.

Moulds and fungus grow too.

I still wouldn't want any of them! ;-)

Someone needs to take marketing depts to task over the flagrant use of the word coupe these days.

It just means a sloping rear roofline, so I don't have a problem with it being applied to this.

To me a coupe always has two doors as well as that sloping roof.

Traditionally they looked sleeker than their 4 door counterpart (if they had one).

This is a minivan to apply the US terminology.

The first page says 'The dawn of a new era.....Coming late 2021'.

Hardly the dawn of anything in mid-2020.

Have you seen the "estimated price"

£40000.

Not the kind of car I'm interested in, but I certainly like the look of it. The lines of the design seem cleaner to me than those on the cars mentioned above (Q3 Sportback, BMW X4, Merc GLC coupé). Of course, it may not look quite the same when it goes into production.

Not a bad looking SUV. No matter what styling you add it still has the basic shape of a brick. The front reminds me of the old Murano and the rear has something of the new Civic. It is going to cost some £40k but at least the EVs have promising ranges of some 240-300 miles.

What a daft name, how do you say it, apparently it is American and means "ray of hope" which in todays market it will probably need it.

40k is a lot of money, still not even slightly interested in EVs anyway. "charge your EV on level 2" says the sign in the Blackpool carpark this week. "out of order" says the sign on the one and only charger.
