2013 Suzuki Alto - Continuous tone when door open and battery flat - SOLVED - Habbs

Hi Guys,

-SOLVED-


Got a 2013 Alto with a problem whereby something's completely draining the battery. I took it out and charged it back up but can't find anything obvious that'd be draining the battery the only symptom it has it when you open the door with the keys in the ignition the standard door ajar alarm goes off (the beep, beep, beep) one, but when you take the keys out of the ignition - which would normally turn off the door ajar alarm - the alarm changes to a continuous tone alarm, although the same door ajar warning light is on on the dash.

I've had a google but can't find anywhere what that 2nd alarm tone signifies... It had a new gearbox fitted a few months ago but can't see that anything hasn't been put back properly from that.

Anyone have any idea?

Solved this - silly thing, sidelights were left on!

Don't drive the car myself, it's my mum's, and coz of the coronavirus it's not getting driven during the day so I didn't even think to look at that! Getting ready with my multimeter to do voltage drop tests and it's always the easiest thing first!
