Thank you to everyone for their contributions, both informative and entertaining.
No, it's not that one. The one I had been looking at was on eBay, tho' no longer. The seller had also promised to send a scan of the V5 and answer some Qs, but has subsequently failed to do so. So thanks to everyone for their warnings about this particular long-distance offering; I would only have proceeded had I be completely certain of being fully protected, hence the very specific enquiry. As I am not, I won't be.
As to the actual choice of vehicle, well, man, that's an individual thing :-). It's a Fiat in drag? Yes, I know that - it's based on the 500X, I believe. That, to me, is a good thing and I would have been unlikely to have considered it had it actually been American...
Why this vehicle? 'Cos it's roughly the same size (fractionally larger) than the C3 Picasso it'll replace, it's 'highish' - which I like, it actually has semi-decent reviews (I do know it ain't the best option dynamically in it's group, but to my family it's the prettiest - that matters...), and it should do everything I want whilst also hopefully putting a smile on my face. I mean, the Juke is a 'better' car, but I dislike its looks intensely as it tries far too hard. The Captur is very very comfy, I believe, but is not as tall or roomy. The Ecosport is to be avoided at all costs; its hairdresser styling being the least of it. The Mokka is smaller inside, tho' I like its height. The 2008 looks slightly SUV, but the low door aperture for my 6'2" frame coupled with the way you fall in to the driver's seat, tells you immediately it ain't now't but a saloon.
See? I have thought about it :-p
Thanks everyone - much appreciated.
