Hello everyone,

Im new here and glad to say hi to all you guys and hope to get some help :)

I am interested in buying car online , so I seen following website: (Link deleted in case unsafe)

Firm is registrated in Leicester, 127 Grasmere street, VAT number: 345 3917 86

Their story is that they buy cars on closed auctions by government ,banks, leasings... and sell to export with good price and go on quantity.. So my question is , has someone any experience with them, or has someone heard about them? Is it safe buying or some kind of cheat? Everything sound really good: they give all info about cars, VIN number, than when you pay, in 10 -15 days car comes at your place with all papers, and if anything is not good, you can turn it back in 3 days after recieving on their cost. Cars also have DEKRA document. Also I checked VAT number, it works .. Please guys help me,any experience would help. Thank you very much.

Look at the address on google street view.

Don't part with money you can't afford to lose.

I believe this address has appeared on this forum before.

Keep away from them all of these sites and copies of.

Risks too high.

You don't say how far you are from Leicester. As a general rule it is a poor idea to buy any car unseen or untried, especially from a distant source. Different if it were a broker buying new.

But if such a car turned out to be a lemon, getting it sorted would be a real PITA. Another rule is - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Looks vey suspect.

The registered company is UK CBD Solutions LTD. I would assume the CBD comes from CBD oil so an unrelated product.

Also looking on companies house all directors have left and 1 new person has joined - this month...looks like they have bought a trading name to make themselves look legit and then setup a dodgy looking website.

On the website the CEO is mentioned as Johnah Lesser - he is not mentioned at all at companies house.

One to avoid.

Pay up first, and a heavily discounted left hand drive car, priced in Euros, arrives "10-15 days later" with a money back guarantee. Firm registered with a fictitious VAT number that "works". What could possibly go wrong?

Thank you for opinion. I am about 1,3k km from Leicester and I can't go anywhere due to COVID 19. So the best thing would be to avoid.

It's a gamble buying unseen, I've done it once from a reputable main dealer and it worked fine but on line sounds very risky to me. Better to know the exact model you want and trawl through reputable dealers stock to find one you can see and try before you buy.

Actually, I am from Croatia, 1800 km from Leicester and 1300 from Amsterdam where the car "is". Seller says that car is in Amsterdam , but firm is registrated in Leicester. Now he can't send copy of papers from the car and example od contract(why?) Everyone should stay out of these guys..
