I have sold 3 cars through WBAC and i can honestly say the experience was very good and I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

I got the prices as promised online as all 3 cars were immaculate, but you would get hammered on price for the smallest of marks etc.

I did pay the £29.75 fee to get the dosh quickly and the whole process went very smoothly.

My experience is that they do indeed hammer you down for small marks eg chips. So work out what your car is worth, the minimum you will accept, and go from there. They went below my minimum, I told them that, and they agreed to raise their offer and match my minimum which was £100 higher than their original offer. Make sure you clean your car well.

The experience of friends and I is Evans Halshaw pay slightly more with no fees although I have also heard of good experiences with WBAC (although it seems to depend upon the branch you use).

Recently heard of a former colleague getting £300 more for a petrol Kia Sportage than WBAC quoted direct from Arnold Clark; the salesman stated it's a car they expect to move on very quickly (low mileage, high spec, good condition, 3 years old, full service history); if your car is a good seller and desirable might be work enquiring with Arnold Clark

I tried it with my last car and thought they were a complete waste of time and effort.

Gave me a provisional valuation of approx £1800 subject to inspection.

Car was 9 years old with 130k on the clock. I would honestly describe it as good but not immaculate condition - what car of this age/mileage would be.

Man went round the car with clipboard in hand and came up with £900 of rectification work - a complete travesty.

I would not contemplate wasteing my time with them again - just did a simple trade in for £1600!

Sold my sister in laws Yaris Hybrid. Little trouble but as she has dementia I'd to produce more I D and prove I could sell the car. Got a fair price for a car with several less than perfect repairs.

My stepson sold a lightly-damaged Audi to WBAC last year and was well pleased with what he got.

When I value my Mazda CX-5 with them I get a lower offer than with Motorway, where specialist dealers seem to price it higher. But of course I've no idea what I'd get in real life, though it is immaculate, FSH and newish tyres, so maybe close to what's offered.
