Great or Head - Paul Lefever

Hi, after some guidance.

Looking to buy new car (second hand). I have 10k to spend.

My heart says Jag XF 2.2 sportsbrake premium luxury. I can get a fsh, 2013 with 90k.

My head says Skoda superb dsg 2.0lit L&K, I can get a 2014 with 90k.

I drive mainly motorway driving, approx 15k per year.

What shall I do?

Many thanks Paul

Buy the Skoda - you need a reliable car.

Avoid both if reliability is a key consideration.

Great or Head - focussed

Honda or Toyota as usual. Buy the best - forget about the rest.

"Great or Head", eh?!

Seriously though, as daveyjp says, neither would be best.

A 90k mile 6 year old Jag, or a 90k mile 5 year old (DSG) Skoda Superb?, hmm.

Ok, the Superb will have the (supposedly more reliable) 'wet clutch' version of the DSG, but do you know how the car has been driven for the previous 90k miles?. I still wouldn't chance it anyway.
