I need to do a CCA on a battery
would a cheap tester like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-20-1200-CCA-220AH-Automotive-Load-Battery-Tester-Digital-Analyzer-Bad-C-C4R6/223560922637?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 be a waste of money?
Who knows how accurate a tool this cheap can be . I’d like to see how it stacks up against my £600 Bosch battery tester ?
OK, will you lend it to me :)
I guess your not in Cheshire are you, if you are you could test my battery save me £15
A drop tester is a good indication of the health of a battery - how long will it maintain it's voltage under a heavy load - the cheaper ones are just about ok for occasional use, but don't leave it on test load for too long - it will cook itself.

The more expensive prong type are better but beware of sparking when jamming it across the battery. Had one of these for years when I had a workshop.
