SEAT Ibiza - How to change air filter on a 2008 Seat Ibiza? - geek84

Hi Folks

I own a 2008 model Mark 4 Seat Ibiza and the air filter needs changing. I have no idea of how to do it and there is no mention of it in the manual. I have also looked on Youtube but no success.

Can someone kindly advice?

Thank you.

Can you see the air filter housing? If yes then the cover will either be held on with clips or screws. If not, then the air filter is incorporated in the engine top cover. Remove the cover and look underneath. I suggest you buy a Haynes manual.

There is a large plastic housing on top of the engine . Pull the whole thing off , it’s attached by rubber “donut” bushes . If it has not been removed for a while , it may need a good tug .Also when doing this , check for any breather pipes attached to the plastic intake box. Once off, invert the box and unscrew the air filter section .
