I remember some years back the story of how two Hillman Hunters (1725cc 5 bearing) were driven to Brands Hatch. One filled with standard oil, the other with Molydusolfied. Bothe cars were drained of oil and run around for 10 laps. Ordinary oil seized and theor other filled back with the Molyslip and driven home. Examined by AA, molyslip car suffered little wear. So on came the product called Molyslip, an additive that would "cure" some issues.

Seemed to me that some sawdust would quiet an engine/back axle just as well, for a short time.

Can't say that I've seem the product for quiet a while. Did see something from the US that was used in drilling apparently. Another miracle cure? Na.

Mind, I did hear Toyota's "cure" for the oil burning ZZFE was a longer dip stick, (more oil with the mark higher up). Interesting.

.. Not true at all, a new dipstick was only required after fitting a new non-oil restrictive modified engine.
