Ford smax 2006 - Smax boot wont unlock - ste f

Hi anyone any idea whats up with my smax boot lock wont work anymore

Things tried

New boot lock

Fuse 11 checked

Wiring checked

Wont unlock on the key or the switch the indicators flash still

I would check the operation of the rubber paddle switch on the tailgate.
