More electrical problems .
Both dipped headlights have suddenly stopped working. Which is strange. All other lights fine.
Is this a common fault please ?

Probably 2 bulbs blown. These seem to have an appetite for headlight bulbs.

Worrying question then - why did both bulbs blow? Simultaneously?

These threads make me worry that my 207SW must be on borrowed time, nothing has failed yet, just normal wear and tear on tyres and brakes.

Aside from the known issues of water ingress and poor earths, the 207 is a pretty good car. And both of those issues can be easily rectified.

Modern lights are pretty good so I venture a guess that one bulb blew a while ago and it was only when #2 went that it was noticed.

And given the number of vehicle I see on the road with one operating lamp it would seem credible.

And fro some reason if a duff lamp is pointed out it's met with aggression from the owner.

my normal answer is I personaly don't give a s*** but plod takes a different view.
