Driving around yesterday and when attempting to accelerate there was no response from the pedal, the pedal felt as if it had no resistance and the engine never responded. Had to pull over and call for a recovery as not sensible to drive on the clutch alone. Friends have said it sound like my accelerator cable has gone, its awaiting a spot in the garage to be looked at but that's not going to be until next week anyone have an idea of the potential issue and repair cost roughly. Advice appreciated. The car is seven years old and done about 90,000 miles if this helps.
