VW Touareg 2007, 2.5 R5 TDI - Engine number location - Damien roberts

Please could someone tell me where I can find the embossed engine number on the above vehicle please
I have an engine number on the documents but I am trying to establish if the vehicle I have purchased has had a massive bodge engine change as parts I have purchased from the reg don’t fit
