3M - 3M EP Grease - edlithgow

I broke my rule and bought the most expensive stuff I could find, because it was the only recognisable brand I could find in Taiwan.

Only available in cartridge form, though, which is a pain, as the picture shows.

If its genuine I'd think it'll be OK, but when I searched for 3M grease online a while ago the only hits were for spray stuff.

Tried an enquiry to 3M CS a while ago but just got an error message. Re-sent this morning and no error so far, so maybe I'll get a reply.

Anything known?

3M - 3M EP Grease - hardway

E P,

Extreme pressure,

Kind of stuff I use for greasing swivle joints and basically anything that has a nipple.

Though rare these days the last time I pulled the grease gun out was for an L200,

From steering to suspension and even prop shaft bearings.

Kind of took me back to when the gun was in much more regular use.

If anyone can remeber old BMC ball joints!

Oh and after the L200 steered better and the steering could self centre.

Which it couldn't before the grease.

No grease nipples on this car. Think I last used a grease gun on a Lada Mk1 prop shaft, and before that on Morris Marina front suspension and prop shaft.

Currently I have got the hubs off and I was thinking I should re-pack (or at least "top up") the bearings, but I dunno if I can trust this stuff in that application

My main concern is that it might be fake. Hence the renewed enquiry to 3M, but they may not bother to reply.

They couldn't of course confirm that its genuiine without analysing it, but they could perhaps confirm that they supply the retailer I bought it from with something that looks similar.
