Ford Fiesta 2013 Titanium - Auto headlights - RSFocus
Standard equipment on the titanium were automatic headlights that switch on at low light.

Recently the lights would come on say in a shaded area in daylight. Switch the dipped lights on but then when moving along in bright light not switching off. Also noticed that they are not coming on as soon as before in low light conditions.

Any idea what could be affecting the sensor?

Make sure the windscreen area in front of the sensor is clean.Has a new screen been recently fitted?Does this function do auto wipers on this model?A simple test would be to turn on ignition and auto setting on switch,then place your hand over the sensor area to see if this activates the system.

Hello again Doc.

Sensor is clean. Original screen. System activates in low light like it should but then when you emerge into bright daylight the dipped stay on almost continually when they should go out. Only resets when the car ignition is off and restarted. I thought the same as you that the screen sensor might of been obscured.
