Audi A4 2.5this quattro - Audi A4 life of its own - Ktm525

Hi all

Can anyone shed any light on the fact that my Audi has a life of its own. When the ignition is off the starter still turns the engine over & will only stop when the battery is disconnected. I have disconnected the ignition plug on the steering column & problem is still there when the battery is connected.

Any info would most appreciated

Probably the solenoid is jammed in on the starter motor.

Could be a starter fault or associated wiring issues.

obviosily the starter feed to the solinoid is live all the time check out relay and ignition switch with a multi meter ,disconect the main starter lead first then do the tests , hope it helps !
