First car we had with electric back windows was a 1989 Bluebird and like every car we have had with electiric rear windows it did not have a warning light.

Guess the manufacturers presume you will use common sense and check, its not a safety issue like having an open door or flat tyre is it.

I could do with one! I regularly leave windows a bit open.

a visual check usually does the trick.

all these !warnings" and notifications add complexity to the wiring.

The one I really hate.. the tyre pressure monitoring system seems to have a mind of its own.

My current car has manual rear windows, so I can't disable them like electric ones.

Grandkids can just reach the winders with their feet when they're strapped in and tend to open them a little.

Lost count of the times I've soaked the back seat when hosing down the car for washing!

That works on VAG cars but it does not work on Kia's, Nissans etc. No idea about Citroens.

I think it's a VAG feature. Certainly not been present on Xantia and 2*Berlingo I've had since 2000.

I use the Mark 1 eyeball .It has lasted me for nearly 7 decades.
