There are no doubt plenty of twin charge TSi's out there that are giving reliable service but there are also plenty that have been nothing but a money pit for the owners.
If you can be 100% certain its a well cared for example that has been drive by a responsible owner and has never been chipped with the 2 year warranty it may be worth further consideration.
But it needs to be a genuine VW warranty to be worth the paper its written on and then you need to be aware that there is a £200 excess on every claim you make.
Personally I would not consider one and I own a TSi 140 PS Seat Leon that I am entirely happy with.
Just visit the forums and read the many posts where owners tune them up to stupid power levels and then record thenselves doing 0-60 runs. When more responsible owners point out what its doing to their cars they simply say that they will sell before the warranty expires and then its someone elses problem.
Are you feeling lucky?
You may be able to get a 2013 on 140PS Leon FR for similar money which has a newer much more reliable engine.
