Honda Accord - Clutch vibration and heavy engine noise - chanlfc

Hi,

My Honda Accord all of a sudden has started making a loud engine knocking noise with vibration through the clutch. It stops making that noise when I start driving, so only when idele of breaking to a stop.

It come and goes , so does not happen all the time, could it be the DMF?

On another issue, the engine is making a whinning humming noise on acceleration, its not the wheel bearing as if I take out of gear that noise goes. Its not loud but slightly annoying. Any ideas?

Car is Honda Accord 2005 I-CTDI executive.

Could be a clutch/flywheel problem,but possibly may be related to a crankshaft damper/pulley fault.Does the noise change if the engine is loaded with a/c on and all electrics switched on and pas on lock?

If original clutch almost for sure the DMF.

I had one of thesde cars some years ago.
