Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDI - Injector gasket leak ? - inventor
Can detect fumes in cabin when driving, suspect injector leak via packer gasket block. .?
Cars done 52 k miles is it worth spending £500 or should we part ex and get a new petrol engine replacement.
Same problem we had with previous Fiesta 1.4TDC, we've also had grief with fuel pipe leaks.
In reliable and not doing the stated mpg stated.
Worth repair or get rid ?

What makes you think a petrol version will get the stated mpg ?

You don't say how old the car is, so no idea of it's value, so nobody can say if it's worth fixing it or not. In addition, you only 'suspect' what the problem is, you don't actually know, so you've no idea what it's REALLY going to cost to get it fixed.
