Ford Focus - Road Tax - Focus - Glasgow26

Hi there - I've signed up to buy a 65 plate (registered in September 2015) Ford Focus Hatchback 1.0 125 Ecoboost Zetec 5dr 999cc deep impact blue 5dr manual petrol. On the paperwork, it says that the road tax (RFL) for the year is £30. Everywhere that I look on the internet says it should be £20. Should it be £20 or £30?

According to the The Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) web site, the correct amount is £20.

It might vary. The 'standard' spec one seems to be 108g CO2, which would be £20. However, if it's got different wheels to standard, then it might push it over to 111g CO2, which would be £30 pa.

Only by looking at the V5 would you know for certain.

Same body, same gearbox BUT different tax rates are possible - higher spec model might have bigger/wider tyres and push it over the limit.

My CRV, petrol+auto, in EX spec is £225, the SE is £205!
