Audi A4 B7 TDI 2003 - ABS and ESP light stays on - Steveieb

The warning lights stay on after start up i.ethe ABS and the skiidding car light.

They go out after switching the car off and starting up again.The car is fitted with a Bosch ABS pump not a Teves thankgoodness and once a red brake light appeared but wentout after switching off.

Any ideas what could be the problem ?

Unfortunately ,without any diagnostic equipt it would very difficult to make a constructive guess.

Just in case - check your brake lights are working (brake light switch can cause havoc) - probably not but you never know
