Peugeot 407 SW 55 Reg - HELP Please - shimsham
My alarm went of last night,I went out and turned it off,but when you try to start the engine the ignition lights all come pre to starting and when you go to start the engine it it's dead, the symptom sees if it as a dead battery,is that possible,As I live in the country side I cannot manage without my car,PLEASE HELP

Batteries do die. Have you had it tested?

I agree. If the battery is old and not quite holding 12v before you start it, funny things will happen, especially on "bigger" Peugeots like the 407, 607. They are sticklers for wanting 12v.

Whatever you do with the battery, make sure you Google "PEUGEOT BSI RESET" and follow the instructions for disconnection and reconnection exactly.

Would like to thank the two gentlemen above for putting me on the right track, yes it was the battery,got a new one,no problem now.
