Hyundai Santa Fe. - Vantage Group problem. - jevy47

Bought a hyundai santa fe from the vantage hyundai in salford last september. 2010 model paid £13000.

About a week after I bought it I contacted them.

Inoticed during polishing it that it had been resprayed back and front.

They said to their knowledge it had not been in any crash.

Now I have tried to get to get the intermittent wiper fixed on warranty but the garage says they will not fix it as the windscreen is not a hyundai windscreen.

Looks like I have paid top price for a pile of scrap.

Don't know what to do next.

Please advise if possible.

Maybe I should try to talk to Mark Robinson Avantage group ceo if someone has a contact email address.

Regards

Davey

The fact that it has been painted does not mean its been in a crash.

Many 5 year old cars will have had some paint.

Very few replacement windscreens are genuine OEM.

If by 2010 model you mean its a 2009 car it is out of Hyundais 5 year warranty thus no free wiper repair. If its less than 5 years old speak to Hyundai Customer services.

After 9 months you have no chance of any comeback even if you had been robbed (which if you really had you would have spotted the issues before now).

Suggest you enjoy it. There is absolutely no chance of any comeback.

It is hardly a pile of scrap because of a bit of paint and a dodgy intermittant wiper.

Lots of cars get painted as part of prep for sale through an approved used car scheme so it might just be that. Some dealers do front and back bumpers as a matter of course.

Either way, if the car is fundamentally decent it makes little odds IMO.

You purchased the car in Sep 14, and some eight months later are seeking advice .....?

Its all water under the bridge now, the time for raising an issue has long gone
