I have been thinking of removing my egr valve on my twintop 1.9 cdti and 1.3 cdti estate. Has anyone else had this done , if so did the vehicle run ok. Would it fail the emmissions test on the mot.Thanks in advance.
If it is done properly and the ECU reprogrammed then it will be fine. It won't cause MOT problems as they do not test EGR function or for NOx emmisions yet.
I can't really speak for Vauxhall, but on Peugeots we get blanking plate off Ebay for a few quid. Slacken off the EGR valve and stick the plate inbetween.
