nissan micra k11 year 2000 facelift - nissan micra relay position for fuel pump , - ste1256

could anyone tell me the location off the relay for the fuel pump ,looked in my workshop manual and does not show ,

the problem his when switching my ignition on i cannot hear the fuel pump switching on and this leads me too think it could be the relay

any help appreciated

Does the car run?if it does,then the relay can't be faultyFor reference,It is located in the engine bay fuse/relay box.

On some cars the fuel pump will prime and on others it doesn't. As said above, if the engine runs then the fuel pump relay is working. You should only suspect it has a priming fault if you have to crank the engine for several seconds before it fires. If it starts virtually immediately when you crank it then you don't have any problem with it.

the fuel pump did run when the ignition was turned on ,now i can no longer hear it

would this effect the running of the vehicle in any way

I can remember doing 1 of these k11 in the past when the fuel pump relay went faulty by way of losing it's switched earth at the ecu. The location of this relay can be found behind drivers side kick panel. Hth Regards Mickeybo
